I've been on douyin over a year. tiktok was banned on my school wifi anyway. i have nothing to fear from China.

Well all other social media app is doing the same thing, so this is bs.....

The app name is in Chinese is "Little Red Book" which is literally the name from the Little Red Book manifesto written by Chinese communist leader Mao Zedong...

Does no one else remember Cambridge Analytica? Facebook allowed that stupid aging app to sell out data to who? Russia? And you didn’t even need to upload your picture to get your data stolen, it could be anyone you know. Sure they paid a fine of 725 million but they made 32.17 BILLION. But sure my data is SO important.

There is no more of a fuck you to the system then to contribute to the enemy system (on a real note tho Xiohongshu has almost completely fixed my relationship with social media and i love it)

TikTok is not spyware, and they're the only platform I know of that lets users download all of the data the collect. As for the phone app, Apple would not allow it on the App Store if it were, and iOS/iPadOS would prevent it from spying.

This is what everyone needs to do that has a TikTok account go to all of your Meta accounts and deactivate or delete those accounts until they bring back TikTok and hold to our stats this will hurt meta and the long it go on the more it will hurt them
