Keep this energy if they decide to sell TikTok to Meta. Because that’s the only way it becomes available again; or it goes to Elon. 🤷♀️
Yeah push this ban but it's perfectly legal for all the META stock insider trading. This country is a joke
Summary: If you’re frustrated with Democrats, especially younger voters, I get it. But before blaming them entirely, take a closer look. The TikTok ban started with Trump, and now TikTok is claiming to work with his administration to make Democrats look bad. Add to this Jeffrey Yass, a ByteDance investor and major Republican donor, whose financial ties raise questions about money shaping policy. TikTok’s algorithm also thrives on polarizing content, making users more susceptible to manipulation. And don’t forget Trump’s playbook—like blaming Biden for Afghanistan and blocking bipartisan border proposals so he could later claim credit. This is all political theater to shift blame. Don’t fall for it—look at voting records and actions, not the spin.
Full Post: If you’re mad at Democrats, this shows how easily people are manipulated. Everyone’s blaming Biden, but Trump started the TikTok ban with an executive order in 2020. Now TikTok claims to work with his administration, creating the illusion that Democrats are at fault, even though both parties played a role.
TikTok’s algorithm is another problem. It’s designed to push emotionally charged, polarizing content, making users more vulnerable to manipulation. This isn’t just about politics—it’s a platform profiting off exploiting human emotions.
Adding to this is Jeffrey Yass, a ByteDance investor and Republican megadonor, who’s given tens of millions to GOP causes. His financial ties to TikTok raise real concerns about how money influences policy.
Trump has also mastered the art of shifting blame. Take Afghanistan as an example: Trump negotiated the U.S. withdrawal and freed thousands of Taliban prisoners, but when the fallout hit during Biden’s term, Republicans pinned it entirely on Biden. The same thing happened with the 2018 bipartisan border proposal. Republicans, under Trump’s influence, rejected the deal—even though it included stricter immigration rules—just so Trump could later claim he’d “fix” immigration if reelected. This playbook is all about manipulation.
Meanwhile, Republicans keep opposing policies that actually help working-class Americans. The federal minimum wage has been stuck at $7.25 since 2009, and every Republican senator voted against raising it to $15 in 2021. They prioritize tax cuts for corporations while ignoring struggling workers.
Democrats aren’t perfect, but falling for Republican rhetoric without looking at their voting records is a mistake. If I can plant the idea that Republicans don’t serve the lower class, I’m okay with that. Wake up.

The problem is most of our older family members still use facebook and instagram, they’re unaware of the issues with these platforms and even if they were aware they wouldn’t be necessarily too concerned to stop using the app. And most of the communication goes through those apps for them. Especially birthdays and events. I would love nothing more than to delete messenger and Instagram but everyone in my family and close friend groups use those apps on a daily basis to get in contact with each other.
I hate that my loneliness and need for connection is used against me in this. Like on principle I would want nothing to do with meta. But it's all I've got connection-wise. Reddit and youtube and bluesky aren't the same.
Gonna sit here and buy all the stocks go down then watch is sky rocket after a month or two after it’s over like united health.
If meta buys TikTok I will not go back. I refuse to give Zuck anything.
I uninstalled the apps at the same time Tiktok went dark. Screw Suckerberg. Why do you think all the politicians just recently invested in Meta? Let's see their stocks drop 👇
That company is boycotted
Thank you! Delete all meta platforms and X. Stop giving money to the very companies and people that exploit us! They want us to go to meta because their money is those stocks.
