For me, I'll stay on both until I see who winds up buying TikTok. If Musk or Zuck get involved, I'm out. Facebook has a presence on their already. And if Rednote turns out to be less than desirable, well, we shall see.

I’ll stay, I found a great community there. It’s a great app, and TikTok is now being manipulated by the US government. I’d rather give all my data to china than giving it to Meta :)

I will stay. The people are very kind. META and tik tok feeds are just disgusting and no matter how much I block and “not interest” posts that I don’t want on my feed, they keep coming back

Yes. I’m using google translate a lot, Chinese to English, and visa versa. It’s really exercising my mind.

I'm staying on Rednote regardless of what happens with TikTok.

I'm staying on Rednote. The people are nice, and the interactions I've had are genuine. On TT or Meta, I walk on eggshells to avoid negative comments. Once, a lady sent me an angry DM because I left a positive review for my vet that she didn't agree with. No one's yelling at me on RedNote.
Length_Patient•over 1 year ago•3
lol not me. Everyone has already jumped ship and stale shit left. Anything good will be reposted on TT anyway

It’s so peaceful
It’s odd but rednote has a different energy. I can scroll for hours and not feel angry, jealous, anxious 😥 and sad. It’s a lovely app

How many America people cannot afford food?
I have seem a lot of people from USA saying they cannot **afford enough food**, also i have seen many people's video/pics seems they don't have this problem. Is there any data on this? I felt like this may be a issue like this i felt this only because those people tend to share, those who can afford this don't talk about this.

Making the Jump from TikTok to Rednote(Xiaohongshu)? Here’s What You Need to Know
So you’re thinking about switching (or at least dabbling) from TikTok to **Rednote** (aka Xiaohongshu)? Here’s a quick rundown on what to expect and how to adapt: 1. **Different Vibe** * **TikTok** is all about short, snappy videos—dances, trends, and memes. * **Rednote** leans more toward lifestyle tips, product reviews, and personal stories. Think mini-blogs rather than just quick clips. 2. **Less is More—or Is It?** * On **TikTok**, you can go viral with a 15-second masterpiece. * On **Rednote**, people actually read captions and appreciate detailed posts. Don’t be afraid to write a bit more and share personal insights. 3. **Engage with the Community** * Responding to comments is key on both platforms, but **Rednote** users expect a friendlier, more helpful approach. Focus on real interaction rather than just racking up views. 4. **Use Relevant Hashtags & Keywords** * **TikTok** hashtags can be trendy and fleeting. * **Rednote** hashtags and keywords should be more targeted, especially if you’re reviewing products or sharing how-to tips. 5. **Be Ready for Culture Shifts** * The **Rednote** audience often loves beauty, travel, fashion, and “real-life” hacks. * If you’re pivoting from dance challenges, consider experimenting with lifestyle or review content to fit the platform’s style. 6. **Quality Over Quantity** * While **TikTok** can reward frequent posting, **Rednote** might favor fewer, well-thought-out posts that really resonate. High-quality visuals and genuine storytelling go a long way. Got questions about Rednote? Drop ’em below—always happy to help a fellow content creator make the jump!

Rednote livestream VODs?
can you view the vods or livestream replays for this site at all? 1. the rednote app seems to have the listings of the vods but theyre not clickable, at least on android. Not sure if im missing something, or theyre not watchable on replay at all. 2. learned that they actually have a desktop/browser version, but whenever i try to go to xiaohongshu dot com login redirects you to rednote dot come instead. so the way i see it, its a limitation of my region or where my account is based from? is there another way to view these vods from NA/US? the app have the vod lists/logs surely theyre store on some server somewhere. and i think using vpn or direct address linking of the stream (eg. https://www.xiaohongshu.com/fe/live-h5/page/live_replay/..., https://www.xiaohongshu.com/hina/livereplay/...) also isnt doable? so if theres none, then at least im looking for a third party trackers or some loggers of those streams? ps. i know profile users can also disable, but ive checked a dozen or so channels and the vod lists are just unclickable.

Can't pay consolidation fee.
I purchased an item for the first time on rednote. I received an email asking me to pay the consolidation fee for shipping when it arrived at the warehouse. The issue is the app doesn't display anything on the 'To consolidate' tab, it's on the 'To receive/use' Anyone experienced this? I have no idea what to do because there appears to be no real support, just AI agents.
