translation question?

sorry, this has been asked before, but I couldn’t find any good answer. I don’t know a lick of chinese, but want to translate my stuff so chinese users can understand. But in the google translate menu there’s two different versions of chinese, and apparently one is good for places like hong kong while the other is more for mainland china. So which one should I use? Does it even particularly matter?

Better to use the mainland version. ChatGPT is also a choice since it can translate more naturally.

Using Chinese (simplified) is better. Chinese (simplified) is what we all learned and used in China. Chinese tradition is what Hongkong uses and the characters was used before 1949. After China was established, Chinese government simplified the characters. So, that was the reason why there are two versions. For most of us, understanding Chinese tradition might be nature but I guess it is not the case for all of people in China.

Now I see why US government hates communism...

The US has always fought like hell against communism....Because communism works.... I understand it only works with the right people in charge, but look at this beautiful efficient country these people have created. I had no idea...

So for some reason Red Note looks like this for me, but when I see others use it, its format is more similar to TikTok, is this me being stupid or is it something else?

People get banned for "not" speaking mandarin?

I am new to red note. I join groups where hobbyist musicians take turns singing/performing on their musical instruments. I do not know how to speak Mandarin. But I can speak English and Cantonese. One time, the host of the music group said Red Note sent her a warning that the group was speaking too much English. So then everyone quickly switched to Mandarin, at which point, I didn't understand anything other than simple things like "it's your turn to perform". Can someone explain to me what actually happens when you speak English on rednote? Is that a very dangerous ting to do? And what if I speak Cantonese? Some of the groups I join have cantonese speakers. Is speaking Cantonese also very dangerous on red note? I'm not sure what I can or can't do, and what happens if i speak too much english/cantonese. Any insight will help, thank you

Need help finding a creator on rednote

I used to follow real-zhousy on weibo, but her account disappeared. I forgot all about it until she showed up on my pinterest, this time with the rednote ID: 541556782 I downloaded rednote but was unable to find her. (╥﹏╥) Does anyone know if she has a new account or what might have happened to her? I really liked her style and would like to follow her again if possible
