My fyp isn’t the same. It’s almost like everything there showing me was on my fyp a month ago. To be honest I don’t really remember what was on it just before the ban but most of the videos they are showing me are videos from Nov 2024. Idk if this is just me or what but there’s seems to be something different. Maybe my algorithm is just really messed up right now but I don’t see how that would happen. Anyone else having this issue aswell or am I insane?
From what I’ve heard due to TikTok shutting down the servers then rebooting them may have caused some cached data to not be stored properly. This with the rapid influx of millions of people all using TikTok at the same time are overwhelming the servers right now everything should be fully stable and back to normal for everyone in 24-48 hours after the reboot (I am not a professional IT person this is what I heard loosely)
I haven’t noticed that as much as I’ve noticed dates tied to comments are ranging from recent days to months prior. Does that make sense?
pass this along..I just tried it. instant change. If you go and block the fb account here on tiktok,your feed becomes normal again. to block search fb profile, open it, click fwd/share button, block
Supposedly, while the app went dark, the US region was taken off TikTok’s proprietary algorithm and is running on a Meta algorithm. This only affects the U.S. The app, in my opinion is a ghost of what it once was and will never be the same. The algorithm is the soul of the app. There is a rumor that CapCut will not be coming back to the U.S. TikTok adjusted the terms and conditions of TikTok, and Facebook is listed as the owner source code. All they got was the shell, the user interface, and all the data. They are banning and/or limiting accounts for saying anything against the usual MAGA talking points.
It’s the first time in 4 years we haven’t used TikTok for 16 hours straight. It’ll take a few days for it to handle that. Algorithm probably never had a break haha

I saw a few videos saying to block Facebook, iG, Whatsapp on TikTok and your fyp will come back to normal.
My fyp is full of Trump, Charlie Kirk, and Elon. I for the record don't watch any political content on tiktok, so my algorithm is all fucked up ATM.
I’m curious to know whether tiktok is suppressing videos of Elon saluting at the inauguration (I committed to leaving the app and deleted it but now I’m so curious)
This is what meta wanted! stay away from meta. When they finally realized we don’t care for there apps. We have the right to our freedom of speech and expression on the internet meta isn’t going to get my attention
2Hey! Apologies if this is not allowed, however I’ve had this issue for about 8 months now. This is shown at the top of my profile, not allowing any of my videos or account to be recommended to others, simply just removing me off of the fyp. It isn’t visible to others, just myself. For context, my account is just videos of myself / things I do in day to day life - nothing confusing or misleading in the slightest. All my account checks come up clear too, none of my videos have been flagged. I’ve spent countless hours writing emails to support as well as going through every single internal support channel I can, all to no avail (they ghost me). I’d simply like to know what they think is misleading so that I can rectify. I’ve also sent my ID, also to no avail. Has anyone else been through this / knows what to do?
