After the ban was lifted my fyp showed me random stuff but as i started liking and commenting on posts that interest me, its now back to showing me stuff i like. Anyone else have that experience?

Yeah because they’re was no new content from the US so it was serving us the random stuff from 12 hours before because it didn’t have anything new and the TikTok algorithm strives on serving new stuff
My algorithm doesn't seem to have changed, I was introduced to many other leftist creators, and a ton more indigenous creators. My booktok recs are still relevant, I'm getting current news and live streams.
The only thing that was weird was religious ads, but easy enough to click "not interested"

Yeah I had the same experience. I was getting videos for topics I have definitely made an effort to previously mark “not interested” on so I was very confused. Seemingly back to normal now tho
I full on had to go through the "what are your interests" page like when I first signed up for the app! It was wild.
I saw tiktok is no longer on Google play store
TikTok sent out a notification that some things might not be optimal as they work on getting things back online. They shut down a huge network and getting it back might not be super easy, despite only being down a few hours. I noticed videos were blurry for a while, but they got better after a while.
I'm currently on a cruise, and my tiktok app has disappeared from my phone. Has anyone else lost the app entirely from the US, or is it a just me problem?
too mad about the censorship and capcut being effected to care about tiktok, is the quality the same?
I mean freedom is speech, gone. freedom of commerce, gone because only Mafia Dons hold a gun to your head and force you to sell your company, oh Mafia Don's and the corrupt US government. Freedom of association gone, and gone with a ruling fully hypocritical to their Citizens United Ruling that increased government corruption in the US. this is acc so frustrating now whenever I type anything into the search it gives me such irrelevant videos after like 2 scrolls. idk how to word this but it isn’t how it used to be idk how to fix it and it’s been like this for a while now. It will come up with tiktoks that are like only 200 likes and in different languages and mind you im on ‘top’ videos. it’s most annoying with edits, i wanna see edits or clips of smth I’ve watched and it only comes up with flop videos n I don’t even say this in a mean way!!! just that it never used to do this it would always come with smth relevant or like it says the ‘top’ videos. And then yeah 3 scrolls in im on smth completely different.
this is the second "bot" account that messaged me, pretty sure its a bot because the first account had a similar message, plus my account is relatively small and I only post about some niche fandoms (I dont often comment on videos either so im not sure how this bot found me)
