After the ban was lifted my fyp showed me random stuff but as i started liking and commenting on posts that interest me, its now back to showing me stuff i like. Anyone else have that experience?

Yeah because they’re was no new content from the US so it was serving us the random stuff from 12 hours before because it didn’t have anything new and the TikTok algorithm strives on serving new stuff
My algorithm doesn't seem to have changed, I was introduced to many other leftist creators, and a ton more indigenous creators. My booktok recs are still relevant, I'm getting current news and live streams.
The only thing that was weird was religious ads, but easy enough to click "not interested"

Yeah I had the same experience. I was getting videos for topics I have definitely made an effort to previously mark “not interested” on so I was very confused. Seemingly back to normal now tho

I saw tiktok is no longer on Google play store
TikTok sent out a notification that some things might not be optimal as they work on getting things back online. They shut down a huge network and getting it back might not be super easy, despite only being down a few hours. I noticed videos were blurry for a while, but they got better after a while.
I'm currently on a cruise, and my tiktok app has disappeared from my phone. Has anyone else lost the app entirely from the US, or is it a just me problem?
too mad about the censorship and capcut being effected to care about tiktok, is the quality the same?
