I don't think the government should have the power to ban an app. And it's a slippery slope once they start doing so.

no app. The government shouldn't have the power to ban a product of private enterprise because that sets a perilous precedent. We have the FTC which plays a key role in regulating private enterprise to ensure fair competition and protect consumers. The only reason for government to ban something is when they pose a significant risk to public health, safety, or welfare.

If they can ban access to apps but they can't ban access to child porn there is a problem.

All algorithm based social media that isnt heavily curated/moderated to just be funny/fun/educational/harmless videos. If you want to spread politics and news people should be aware of the things they are subscribing to and shouldnt be able to have their entire world view shifted without their consent.

No app. The government shouldn’t have the power to do that. If you’re worried about to your screen time then lower it, people complain that people spend too much time on social media but a lot of people have hobbies outside of it and people will be like “what about the children??” It’s parents jobs to step up and monitor what their children watch, not random people and it’s not creators jobs to censor their content because parents won’t do that

Does anyone have an issue with notifications?
if my comments get likes, sometimes it just doesn't show up on my iphone notification centre. i have to go into the tiktok app and actually see if i got any notifications. DM notifications work fine though, it's mainly just comments/likes sometimes it works though, sometimes it doesn't. it's super buggy and i want to know if anyone else has had this issue, or if there's a fix to it.

What has happened to my tiktok?
I started a new tiktok account a week ago. I started just scrolling but then I decided to post a few things but they all only got 1 - 10 views. My friends tell me things usually get at least 100 views. Also, when I tried to message one of my friends on their the message kept getting flagged for being against the rules when it was just 'hi'. Even after they messaged me first it kept getting flagged. How do I fix this>

Hello, i am creating an indie game and for firstime wanted to post 2 short videos. Just testing things. Those videos are not great... but shouldnt they at least get 1 view? They have zero: see image => (the like is my like). Never posted anything before on tik tok- but is this already to gruesome, or why not even 1 view :D?If so - why?
