Without updates, your information and data will be even more vulnerable, and using the browser version is an even bigger risk for your privacy. Honestly, staying on TikTok at this point is just a recipe for disaster. But hey, you do you—good luck with that.

It’s honestly hilarious that you’re saying ‘don’t fall for the propaganda’ when people are literally sharing screenshots of the pop-ups and issues they’ve been getting for over two days. That’s not propaganda—that’s just what’s actually happening.

Also, it’s pretty convenient to take your experience as the definitive truth while ignoring the fact that what’s happening en masse makes complete sense. ByteDance shut the platform down pre-ban, and now TikTok is limping along in limited capacity. Of course things are going to be broken.

And if the app being tied to all this chaos and security risk is already turning you off, then why stay? Are you waiting for it to crash completely before you let go? Acting like one person’s experience negates what’s happening on a broader scale is just absurd.
