Does anyone else feel RedNote's content could be more in-depth?

Hi everyone!

I've been using RedNote for a while now, and while I appreciate the platform and some of the content, I've noticed a trend that's leaving me a little unsatisfied. I'm finding that a lot of the information feels a bit superficial. It's great for a quick overview, but it doesn't really delve deep enough to truly enrich my learning experience.

I'm wondering if others feel the same way? Are you hoping for more insightful and comprehensive content?

I've seen some articles on RedNote about fat burning, but they tend to just scratch the surface. They might mention general tips like "eat healthy and exercise," but they don't go into the science behind fat burning, discuss different training methodologies (HIIT vs. LISS, for example), or explore the role of hormones and nutrition in a detailed way. I'd love to see content that explores these aspects more deeply, perhaps with links to scientific studies or expert opinions.

I understand that RedNote might be aiming for a broad audience, but I think there's definitely a demand for more in-depth content. Perhaps they could offer different tiers of content, or create more specialized sections for those who want to dive deeper into specific subjects.

What are your thoughts? Do you feel RedNote's content could be more insightful?

I think it's fine. I don't mind doing my own research on things I'm interested in.

Not really.

In-depth always ends up in discussing problems.

Let's enjoy one different, friendly social network, without boobs and twerking and gay content and violence and people argueing and hating each other.

I hope Rednote stays the way it is now.

the video tab has longer higher resolution videos, if thats what youre looking for. a lot of the regular videos are product advertisements

That's reasonable, for it's an app and people go through it using pockets of time without deep thinking

for in-depth content, a few people focus on that, such as 毕导 (scientific) and 王德峰(philosophy) and etc. you can set likes for those notes and videos, I think the algorithm will send you more in-depth content.

That's not the app's goal. If you want in-depth content, go to pubmed.

I have found some great in depth content. For instance housing, home renovation, cost of living, tours of specific cities, medical care.

And honestly, it is what it is. If you don't like the content, move on to something else.

This is the commonality between short videos and text-limited platforms like Weibo. Depending on your needs, bibi (long video) may be a better app.

Making the Jump from TikTok to Rednote(Xiaohongshu)? Here’s What You Need to Know

So you’re thinking about switching (or at least dabbling) from TikTok to **Rednote** (aka Xiaohongshu)? Here’s a quick rundown on what to expect and how to adapt: 1. **Different Vibe** * **TikTok** is all about short, snappy videos—dances, trends, and memes. * **Rednote** leans more toward lifestyle tips, product reviews, and personal stories. Think mini-blogs rather than just quick clips. 2. **Less is More—or Is It?** * On **TikTok**, you can go viral with a 15-second masterpiece. * On **Rednote**, people actually read captions and appreciate detailed posts. Don’t be afraid to write a bit more and share personal insights. 3. **Engage with the Community** * Responding to comments is key on both platforms, but **Rednote** users expect a friendlier, more helpful approach. Focus on real interaction rather than just racking up views. 4. **Use Relevant Hashtags & Keywords** * **TikTok** hashtags can be trendy and fleeting. * **Rednote** hashtags and keywords should be more targeted, especially if you’re reviewing products or sharing how-to tips. 5. **Be Ready for Culture Shifts** * The **Rednote** audience often loves beauty, travel, fashion, and “real-life” hacks. * If you’re pivoting from dance challenges, consider experimenting with lifestyle or review content to fit the platform’s style. 6. **Quality Over Quantity** * While **TikTok** can reward frequent posting, **Rednote** might favor fewer, well-thought-out posts that really resonate. High-quality visuals and genuine storytelling go a long way. Got questions about Rednote? Drop ’em below—always happy to help a fellow content creator make the jump!

The ban isn't really about privacy concerns

Why exactly? You and me know why America is banning tiktok... They can't control the narrative their like they do with Facebook or Instagram YouTube. etc The genocide in Gaza was being shown in its full without any kind of censorship... And daddy israel doesn't like that so the AIPAC who's holding the American politicians by the balls... Forced them into banning the app.... It's not about privacy or any of that.... Remember edward Snowden.? I rest my case.

Y'all know why Trump suddenly became "pro-TikTok" right?

Say it with me....because he and his oligarch buddies are getting worried Americans are waking up to the truth about the anti-China propaganda BS in Red Note and will either demand better conditions or go full socialist.
