Has the tiktok refugees moved back to Tiktok or are they staying on Rednote?

As everyone knows, people who posts on Tiktok migrated to Rednote and the people that migrated there called themselves Tiktok refugees. Its been a month since people who used TikTok have been migrating to another chinese app called Xiaohongshu which is called Rednote, as i presume everyone has known, Tiktok ban has been lifted in the US and so its likely that these people may be moving back to Tiktok.

I haven't heard anything related to this so far. Just seeking on any new information on this, or that the people who had used Tiktok based in the US have been staying on Rednote or these people have went back to using Tiktok and not using Rednote anymore or just use both at the same time.

I deleted my tiktok and not going back, and as I understand it, I think by now, it's settled down where those that are on rednote are staying, & also have deleted tiktok though a few are reporting back to rednote (the drama), also most folks as I know it over at rednote are lurking, commenting, but not posting as much as the trailblazers from the first wave(so to speak) so it looks a lot more quite than that first week...

I use both. It’s pretty nice once you start figuring out the ins and outs of it😊. And besides, with Trump in office we still don’t know how long TikTok‘s going to be available so it’s good to have a back up plan.

I just use both now.

I still have Tiktok and I only use it during 11am to 6/7pm when the content creators I followed on rednote are asleep lol

I dropped TikTok as soon as it went dark and I’m never going back and I didn’t find RedNote attractive enough to bother.

I deleted my TikTok and removed the app, haven’t been on TikTok since January 21st. I love rednote the vibe is nice and I love learning new things.

I still see some news come on rednote so that’s good but I also use the news break app. I too find myself less doom scrolling and considerably spend less time on rednote than I did TikTok which is a good thing to me.

I quit rednote after a week and a half. My phone couldn't support the data the app needed. I would probably still be on occasionally if I still had it, though. I am back on tiktok, but only until neptune app is up.

I un-installed tiktok permanently, but I also don't "doom scroll" like I used to....

Making the Jump from TikTok to Rednote(Xiaohongshu)? Here’s What You Need to Know

So you’re thinking about switching (or at least dabbling) from TikTok to **Rednote** (aka Xiaohongshu)? Here’s a quick rundown on what to expect and how to adapt: 1. **Different Vibe** * **TikTok** is all about short, snappy videos—dances, trends, and memes. * **Rednote** leans more toward lifestyle tips, product reviews, and personal stories. Think mini-blogs rather than just quick clips. 2. **Less is More—or Is It?** * On **TikTok**, you can go viral with a 15-second masterpiece. * On **Rednote**, people actually read captions and appreciate detailed posts. Don’t be afraid to write a bit more and share personal insights. 3. **Engage with the Community** * Responding to comments is key on both platforms, but **Rednote** users expect a friendlier, more helpful approach. Focus on real interaction rather than just racking up views. 4. **Use Relevant Hashtags & Keywords** * **TikTok** hashtags can be trendy and fleeting. * **Rednote** hashtags and keywords should be more targeted, especially if you’re reviewing products or sharing how-to tips. 5. **Be Ready for Culture Shifts** * The **Rednote** audience often loves beauty, travel, fashion, and “real-life” hacks. * If you’re pivoting from dance challenges, consider experimenting with lifestyle or review content to fit the platform’s style. 6. **Quality Over Quantity** * While **TikTok** can reward frequent posting, **Rednote** might favor fewer, well-thought-out posts that really resonate. High-quality visuals and genuine storytelling go a long way. Got questions about Rednote? Drop ’em below—always happy to help a fellow content creator make the jump!

The ban isn't really about privacy concerns

Why exactly? You and me know why America is banning tiktok... They can't control the narrative their like they do with Facebook or Instagram YouTube. etc The genocide in Gaza was being shown in its full without any kind of censorship... And daddy israel doesn't like that so the AIPAC who's holding the American politicians by the balls... Forced them into banning the app.... It's not about privacy or any of that.... Remember edward Snowden.? I rest my case.

Y'all know why Trump suddenly became "pro-TikTok" right?

Say it with me....because he and his oligarch buddies are getting worried Americans are waking up to the truth about the anti-China propaganda BS in Red Note and will either demand better conditions or go full socialist.
