ANIMAL ABUSE

I recently switched from TikTok to Red Note and loved it. It felt safe, and I enjoyed the animal posts. But I soon learned that China has no animal protection laws, and I kept seeing distressing content. As a rat lover, I’d try to give advice, like using bird antibiotics for respiratory issues, but it often felt misunderstood.

My breaking point came when I saw a bucket crammed with hamsters—so packed they couldn’t move, lie down, or access food and water. People were calling it cute, but it was clearly animal abuse. I finally spoke up, saying, “This isn’t cute. They’re suffering.” Afterward, I had to meditate for 30 minutes just to clear my head.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

I stopped watching all the animal content even on TikTok a while back. Someone showed a bunch of the content creators were actually just abusing and abandoning their own animals so they could make those heartwarming savior videos.

That’s why a lot of the “feral” “wild” animals are so trusting and easily walk up to the “strangers” for their help.

Yes all of a sudden it started showing up after I’d been on red note for a couple weeks. I had to stop going on red note much because of it. It’s just so much of it too! I can’t believe it’s not intentional on red note’s part because of how suddenly it started and there doesn’t seem to be any point. Like these aren’t posts with tons of engagement or anything and it’s all different animals.

Today I reported someone holding a ferret by its head (no support for the legs) while hitting it.. then calling him 'so cute and talkative '. Ferrets only make a dooking noise when they are happy. This one was just crying .. it made me nauseous.

Wait until you find out how chickens are industrially raised in the US...

And I thought the cats getting their butt holes poked was pretty extreme.

So if you hold the post, a new menu bar pops up where you can dislike the content or creator and kick it from your algorithm. The point is to stop clicking on them, especially if it bums you out.

Tbf that's a shock, the way they treat animals and how they show it is brutal (for my standards), so nahhh ain't watching those videos, and as once a great sage* said: avoid everything that makes you lose your shit. I just tell them to fuck off when the algorithm shows me something like that, either bullfighting (their way of it), killing pigs for food or any other animal they eat(haven't seen any dog or cat btw)... So yeah pretty much stay out of it.

Animal abuse is everywhere unfortunately. We are no exception as a society too. Report it, tell the algo you don’t like that kind of content, then move on. Talk to any animal control officer and they’ll gladly go on a rant about how awfully some Americans treat animals. This is literally just the pot calling the kettle black

Making the Jump from TikTok to Rednote(Xiaohongshu)? Here’s What You Need to Know

So you’re thinking about switching (or at least dabbling) from TikTok to **Rednote** (aka Xiaohongshu)? Here’s a quick rundown on what to expect and how to adapt: 1. **Different Vibe** * **TikTok** is all about short, snappy videos—dances, trends, and memes. * **Rednote** leans more toward lifestyle tips, product reviews, and personal stories. Think mini-blogs rather than just quick clips. 2. **Less is More—or Is It?** * On **TikTok**, you can go viral with a 15-second masterpiece. * On **Rednote**, people actually read captions and appreciate detailed posts. Don’t be afraid to write a bit more and share personal insights. 3. **Engage with the Community** * Responding to comments is key on both platforms, but **Rednote** users expect a friendlier, more helpful approach. Focus on real interaction rather than just racking up views. 4. **Use Relevant Hashtags & Keywords** * **TikTok** hashtags can be trendy and fleeting. * **Rednote** hashtags and keywords should be more targeted, especially if you’re reviewing products or sharing how-to tips. 5. **Be Ready for Culture Shifts** * The **Rednote** audience often loves beauty, travel, fashion, and “real-life” hacks. * If you’re pivoting from dance challenges, consider experimenting with lifestyle or review content to fit the platform’s style. 6. **Quality Over Quantity** * While **TikTok** can reward frequent posting, **Rednote** might favor fewer, well-thought-out posts that really resonate. High-quality visuals and genuine storytelling go a long way. Got questions about Rednote? Drop ’em below—always happy to help a fellow content creator make the jump!

The ban isn't really about privacy concerns

Why exactly? You and me know why America is banning tiktok... They can't control the narrative their like they do with Facebook or Instagram YouTube. etc The genocide in Gaza was being shown in its full without any kind of censorship... And daddy israel doesn't like that so the AIPAC who's holding the American politicians by the balls... Forced them into banning the app.... It's not about privacy or any of that.... Remember edward Snowden.? I rest my case.

Y'all know why Trump suddenly became "pro-TikTok" right?

Say it with me....because he and his oligarch buddies are getting worried Americans are waking up to the truth about the anti-China propaganda BS in Red Note and will either demand better conditions or go full socialist.
