REDNOTE is massively banning all the accounts that have not been real-name verified

Yes without posting anything, breaking any rules and they are already asking you to do verification, ridiculous.

I didn't have any issues, but I decided to try to verify my account with my passport, and it is now fully verified.

I think I'll get verified, even if it means I'll still be silenced. My original purpose for joining the app was in defiance of the government's suggestion that this chinese app was stealing your data, and that you shouldn't let them. I was galvanized in this position when they tried to make downloading deepseek punishable by like five years prison and a hundred thousand dollar fine

how do you verify? i got a message saying i need to verify but it just asks for a “foreigner permanent residence id card” and i’m supposed to enter some id number but i have no idea what it is

Nope. There’s nothing they can do to ban me if I already canceled the account.
