Xiaohongshu Security Pop-Up Loop After Successful Verification

I'm an international user facing a weird loop on Xiaohongshu and would appreciate any help.

I created my account a few weeks ago. At first, I didn't complete the Real Name Verification because I wanted to test the app first. The next day, while editing my profile, a pop-up saying "Security Protection Activated" appeared and required my ID.

I went to my settings, selected "foreign passport," and submitted my details. After a few tries, I received a message saying I passed the real-name verification.

However, the problem is that every time I click on my "Me" page or try to edit my profile, the same security pop-up appears. Now it asks for the last 4 digits of my ID, but when I enter them, I get an error saying foreign passports are not supported.

I ran an account check, which showed a "minor violation," which was odd. I submitted an appeal in Chinese, explaining the situation. I even received a message that my appeal was "successful," but absolutely nothing has changed. The pop-up is still there.

Has anyone else experienced this? How did you manage to fix it?
