Yeah stop taking the mouth breather route. It won't fix itself. You need to talk to support and explain your issue. Next time this happens, maybe stop staring at a screen that will do nothing but run up your played time. Obviously you didn't hit two hours by just trying to log in. You let that screen sit there for long periods of time. The game boots to the main screen pretty quickly.

Side note: hitting the nay nay and buying a more expensive bundle does NOT fix it

Following for updates. Was just looking at buying this. But I don’t want to spend 30 to not have access to the game.

Looks like you learned the same lesson as me, NEVER buy a game from the Xbox store. Xbox app is the only launcher I’ve ever had so much problems with, and the support was zero help. Official Microsoft reps told me to just wait a few months for an update and see if that fixes my issue. I immediately refunded and cancelled my Xbox everything. Never looked back and never had a problem like that again.
