Path of Exile 2 kills my internet connection when I launch the game

Same! I have to restart my pc and it usually works after that it’s so weird

Do you have QOS enabled? I’ve had to turn this off on my router because some games don’t interact with it well.

Does it happens with other games too?

Mine dies the same way, a reboot normally works, if not i have to reset the router/modem.

Ok so I had something similar, and this is going to sound really strange, but have you got poe2 on an external hard drive? And if yes, is that hard drive near your wife/cable connection?

It could also be your internet provider throttling your internet if you have high internet usage. I had this happen before on multiple occasions during the mid to end of a billing cycle.

I hasn’t happened specifically for this game but when I tweaked out on Arc Raiders when that game dropped and putting heavy usage on battlefield when that game dropped.

It was kinda crazy that even though you pay for unlimited data you still have a cap of usage before slowing your speeds.

You can tell when internet shuts off for the specific game you were tweaking on for that month. I confirmed it with a buddy who has same internet provider as me and put a heavy amount of time just on a different game.

Bypass is before you trigger the throttle which is by opening the game with heavy usage. On comp start up you start up your VPN before anything. That was the only way to play the games without issues. If I didn’t then internet for my comp would not work until shut off.

Everything on other devices would work just not my comp. Hope this helps if this is your issue.

Not adding to your problem but I had today the issue that my computer was shutting itself down when I tried to start the game. Oh and a few days ago I suddenly started to get immense loading screens which didn't want to end even though I have a completely new gaming computer... Unplayable rn. I had to reinstall it. Will check tomorrow if it's back to normal....
