Wyvern/Werewolf?

Yeah i play hybrid. With mostly wyvern rend then wolf skills for buffing and mobility. Could throw in oil barrage but have limited skills slots for auras etc

You can be a wyvern, wolf or bear

It's viable and fun, can recommend.

That's my hybrid! Other than your base attack (dictated by which primary animal type you choose on the talisman - wolf/bear/wyvern) all other skills associated with talismans will have a dedicated form. For example, flame breath is for your wyvern, lunar assault is only for werewolf, and rampage is only for bear form... In my own personal setup, I use the main attack for werewolf on bosses in combination with pounce which is also werewolf to generate power charges and then rend and flame breath which are both wyvern skills for mobbing and Boss clearing... I also have a very seldom if ever used primal war cry or whatever it is In case I need to quickly get rage back, and that is a bear only form. So I guess you could say my personal build uses a combination of all three but primarily a combination between wyvern and werewolf

They made specific shapeshifting skills connected to specific forms. For example Pounce is werewolf specific and Devour is wyvern specific and when you use the skill you quickly transform.

So if you're using a broad variety of the skills you're constantly changing shape. If you want to be wyvern all the time you're extremely restricted to certain skills. For example no breathing fire as a channeled skill for wyvern, no eating bodies for werewolf.

Short answer is No, but like this poster said the moves are lock to specific forms so. Nuanced answer is you almost have to be unless you are only using moves from only one form.
