Economic Aftermath of the Temple printing

Was always curious what were the coniquences of having such an insane money printer in both poe1 and poe2 in retrospective.

Did prices of everything else that wasn't straight currency go up just as much as a div to mirror ratio?

Did you feel like you had more or less purchasing power running temples or farming something else that didn't give straight currency drops(chaos trial sekhema abyss omens bossing etc) over the long term?

Is hideout warrior strategy still best even if you bring gazillion divs

What's the difference between having this over "poverty league" like in keepers poe1

I do want to add that I didn't play past the campaign so I don't really have a hands on perspective on that, mostly just poe1

Surprisingly, the economy kind of reached an equilibrium with the pricing. 3/50 amulets went up to 300 div as compared to 50 div from last league, but you can also sell abyss omens and ritual omens for the same price increase.

I've really enjoyed this league and learned a lot.

When prices of non temple items started to go up I decided to learn where to farm them and spend a couple days strategizing decent ways to optimize farming each individual thing. This also meant I always had money for whatever gear I needed and was able to experiment with my builds without worrying too much about wasting my divs because I could just earn more. I didn't know where half my items were coming from before, but now I do and I think I'm a better player for it.

This has been an amazing league for a player who has fun learning more about the game and making their own path doing so!

The thing I'll appreciate most about this league is how cheap annuls, perfect exalts, and other non-omen crafting mats were to get. I never really got to participate much in crafting before because the lack of currency combined with my lack of knowledge made it feel like "missing" on a craft would just be so punitive towards progression.

However, this league, with as cheap as mats were, let me really experiment with the crafting system and find some real niches that just print currency for me. As an example, one craft I'm doing literally seems to only have one other person actively participating in it, as his name is the only other name I see day after day listing new items in this specific crafting range. I make about 12-15 crafts a day in this category aside from other crafts, and he seems to make about the same. Those sell out daily for 50-100 divs per craft, I barely have any actual overhead on them, and they have just become my sustainer piece I guess.

I don't fool around with temple, but I sure am grateful for the thing, because without it...I surely wouldn't have gotten as much of an education on crafting as I have this league.

The price of anything valuable that didn't drop in temple pretty much skyrocketed compared to past season.

Did you feel like you had more or less purchasing power running temples or farming something else that didn't give straight currency drops(chaos trial sekhema abyss omens bossing etc) over the long term?

I was late for the temple bandwagon. The moment it blew up I knew it would take too long to get to the point all the div printers were at. So I pivoted. My build isn't suited for kiting amanamu void or sekhemas. Logbooks were boring to me. So I farmed rituals, chaos and ancient fragments. By the time GGG "fixed" temple I was already sitting on 1k div worth of gear (now it's worth more like 3k), which I feel is already overkill for all the current content except maybe fully built 6-person temple runs, but since I only have 2 friends to play with, that would be a situation I don't have to worry or think about lol.

There's always ways to make enough divs to craft or buy the gear you need to clear content. You just have to know what your build is suited for and go ham.

Stayed longest ever this season and got into end game crafting first time ever.

Still playing. Best league so far. Tons of ways to get currency without relying on the Temple. REALLY hope they see this economy and learn from it. When there is more of all the currency flying around, it's way more fun to do pretty much everything.

hideout warrior still best currency generator.

its overall a good league as every endgame mechanic feels farmable (prices for all sorts of mats went up like crazy)

purchasing power is still the same, just inflated numbers lol

Very high end items are multiple mirrors. Also you can in theory have more access to stuff as any non currency item is more expensive (See omens). The upside you can try more builds as gear is more accessible

My past self would like to punch the current me right now for saying this, but I think it is a good thing?

Firstly, first time ever, as a dad gamer, I can access stuff like HH and get to very very decent end game killing Uber arbiter in 3s territory.

Almost every thing I farm has decent value, expedition, abyss, breach, etc. are all able to supply me a decent income for gears.

I am very conflicted now, not knowing if they should remove/nerf the temple hard or not. I know the top tier gears are pretty much un reachable due to inflation, but for casual like myself, I am having a good time. Also, building the temple is fun. But PLEASE GIVE ME CTRL-Z option to back a bad room placement.

Crafting will always be the best but shocked by people acting as if making 10k divs per day by FARMING is totally normal
