When you stand 1 pixel too close to a lamp post and your Earthshatter stops shattering earth

I love the look and feel of mace & shield abilities, but can we please get a fix for their interactions with terrain in 0.5?

I started this league playing shield wall and transitioned to earth shatter and they both have the same problem: if you get too close to any un-interactable terrain then they won't fire. This creates big problems when my main ability costs 300+ health to use and my recovery is entirely centered around life leech. I cannot count the number of times I have died while flailing about trying to shatter the earth and failing because there was a pebble next to me.

In this clip it's easy to see the terrain and avoid it, but 1) this is actually one of the less offensive maps and 2) imagine trying to see every object that might interrupt your ability while you have 20 headhunter buffs and you're teleporting around with meteors falling from the sky and pillars of fire shooting up from the earth.
