Expedition help!!!

I was having the same issue until I realized I have to look for the expedition logo on the map to get the “white chests.” The gear chests and currency chests usually contain very little.

Start off surveying the map for the remnants that give “excavated chests contain 20% more items.” Try to hit several of these early in your chain, then get as many white chests (expedition logo on map) as possible. Every other chest is not worth going for. Prioritize quantity of excavated chest modifiers, then hit as many of those white chests as possible, then if you still can, try to hit an underground area that may have another white chest or two in it.

I went from getting 20-40 splinters (doing it the wrong way not knowing what I was looking for), to getting 100+ in a single logbook.

Focus on the expedition icon chests (the swirly icon) which are the chests that also drop the artifacts(even tho we don't care about those) generally tag as many of those as you can in any given logbook.

For remnants all you care about is "quantity of items found in excavated chests" the artifact quant is useless it doesn't scale runic splinters.

Lastly any underground area you can tag you should. They usually contain 2-5 additional chests which can be the type to contain splinters.

Follow these simple and easy steps and you will be swimming in splinters before long.

You run a lap looking for "quantity of items from excevatef chests" and the little expedition logo chests, then collect all of those only. Ignore remnants, and any other modifiers. Underground areas are good too

Made like 110 or more per run. Flags with expedition logo and the hole to go to below areas. White chests drop splinters

Also, be careful not to brick your build by exploding remnants with modifiers that destroy you. Also, get the good remnant modifiers for quantity as early in the explosive chain as possible. Modifiers only kick in starting from the point they went off. If you do it right you can get all the white chests on the map 90% of the time and if you get a good modifier or two early on in the chain you can significantly increase the amount of runic splinters you get

Where are you placing your explosives?

I’ve made over a thousand divs on logbooks this season.

Lvl 79+ logbook, choose the Lush Isle map, with “contains additional chest markers”, look for the chests with the spiral expedition logo on the flag. The white chests are the ones that drop splinters.

The only buff worth looking for is quantity of items found in chests.

20 is quite alot I think

1. do not buy the logbooks but try to farm them yourself. Use expedition tablet in high tier maps and look for the word "logbooks" on remnants. Run lots of maps like that.

2. Is your expedition tree maxed? What nodes have you taken?

3. The placement of your charges is crucial. You need to spend some time scouring the map and look for the best placements and optimal route. Remember that any remnants you explode will affect all the subsequent spawns. You do not want to blindly grab all remnants, nor rushing first to interesting spots, nor grabbing just chests.
