You’re sleeping on Into the Breach

Into the Breach is absolutely insane right now. There are some amazing nodes that synergize extremely well with it, Vigorous and Arcane Remnants, and Remnant Attraction.

Between these notables and the ascendency notables, you get an enormous boost in Remnant potency, not just from ITB but also Mana Remnants. What’s this mean?

Mind over Matter with EB and mana stacking is insane for Chayula. You become an unkillable monster that recovers to max in a fraction of a second at all times.

ITB creates a consistent stream of remnants itself. I run the Chaos flames and sit at 10 charges at all times. This means I’m gathering remnants at less than 3 seconds (since I’m using the remnant support gem Remnant Potency).

Mana remnants with Remnant Potency and Arcane Remnants is great because it ensures you’re overcharging mana the highest you can. With remnant potency and the ITB notable bonus to remnants, a lvl 21 mana remnant with 23 quality will recover close to 1000 mana.

If you’re bored of CoC and want to clear temples fast, a Chayula can smoke a room in seconds and has a hard time dying. POB for reference.

I forgot to mention those 10 charges equate to about 150% chaos as extra damage.

If you want to mana stack I think ritualist is ideal. It solves the ailment/stun issues with going pure mana and lets you get much higher totals.

Just died in HC to chaos damage. Will look into this build thanks for sharing

Thanks for posting. My chayula is around lvl82 and I was looking for a respec. Any insight into how you’re playing with your setup?

Zyvrond•9 months ago•1

Could I be running that together with Chaos Inoculation or would that be too risky?

FrightenedOstrich•9 months ago•1

This is a sick build. Really cool remnant interactions. Will keep this in mind for the future.

cky_lee•9 months ago•1

How does it do against phys hits? Just tank through it with sheer ES and mana size? Looking good though. Might try this out.

mellorillo•9 months ago•1

Cool!

What's the staff for? Could you explain briefly your skill rotation?

Was this expensive to setup?

Edit: I see you answered elsewhere how your build is functioning. I guess just cry and whirl away? Still curious about budget though

There is a bug currently with Into The Breach (more of an indecision than a bug, but I'll call it a bug) where, if you put every remnant passives in weapon set 2 and then enter an area with weapon set 2, you get to keep ALL of those bonuses throughout the entire area regardless if you swap weapon set or not.

I ran a Chayula Spark Monk with the Sin ring to convert elemental to chaos, and ran it alongside mana stacking lich with wither, 3 curses, unholy might and explode corpses in presence - the passive tree to enable picking up remnants from a distance + recovery on pick up, such nice QOL

Siege Cascade/Hailstorm Rounds seems to be good this league

I've always looked down on siege cascade for how shitty and clunky the skill is, so I decided to try it out this league and to my surprise I'm coping it. **So how does it work?** Siege Cascade does extra 100%base(146% fully corrupt) against Immobilised enemies, hence the use of the skill Freezing mark and Hailstorm rounds for 2nd swap to freeze the enemy. It also works wonder with the spirit skill Mirage Archer shooting more Siege Cascade making the damage even bigger PoE Ninja: [https://poe.ninja/poe2/profile/AEgliid-0254/character/RottenVagigi](https://poe.ninja/poe2/profile/AEgliid-0254/character/RottenVagigi)

Is there a reason everyone uses Comet with CoC?

The +1 second to Total attack time means that energy costs for Comet are quite a bit higher than what they would be for something like Frostbolt or Spark or whatever. I know it's a big splashy skill, but wouldn't it be better to run something like Ice Nova, Frostbolt, or Spark? Literally any other spell that doesn't get the total attack time penalty? I did run the numbers, and assuming you're shotgunning with spark and nothing is infused or supported by other gems, Spark does >3x more single-target damage per energy cost. I do see people using spark, but poe.ninja has 77% of CoC users using Comet. Edit: The main crux of the argument is that Comet has an energy cost penalty due to how energy costs are calculated. Any ability with "+X to Total attack time" has that amount included in the energy cost at a 2x penalty. See the tooltip: https://poe2db.tw/Energy#Acronym So the more succinct question is, why are people spending 300 energy casting a single comet when they could be casting spark for 70 and casting it 4.2x more often? Comet does about the same average damage as Spark on a single target (assuming all 9 projectiles hit). Edit 2: Nevermind, I can't read. Spark can't shotgun, so it's single target is ass. Frostbolt is then the next best example I could find, but it's not as obviously better or worse, so I'll test it out. Thanks everyone!

Favorite Twink?

After your first main has been put to bed or lucky drop just sold - what has been your favorite build to play with the best gear you can give it through the campaign? My favorite has albeen mercenary, with a few good items blasting is a breeze and fun to play… Same feels with minions but they never feel truly OP for me

What Builds Do You Use for Sekhema 4th Ascendancy Bus?

Hello, I’m Korean and since my English isn’t very good, I’m writing this with the help of a translation AI. While playing Path of Exile 2 from Season 1 to 4, I’ve been running the Sekhema 4th Ascendancy bus with an Infernal Summoner build. I think the most important points are: 1. You should start running 4th Ascendancy from day 2–3. 2. The build should be made with cost‑effective gear. 3. Each run usually takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour. I’ve tried leveling several different characters with this in mind, but it’s not easy. So I’d like to ask: what characters and builds are you using for the Sekhema 4th Ascendancy bus? Also, I kind of want to push through the Acts again for fun.

Shield Wall Infernalist – Nebuloch - 2500% Crit Damage

Shield Wall Infernalist – Nebuloch - 2500% Crit Damage

Hello everyone, I’ve been experimenting with a Shield Wall Infernalist setup and ended up finding a pretty fun interaction using Nebuloch that allows the build to reach around 2500% critical damage. The core idea is Nebuloch allows our attacks to consume an Endurance Charge to guarantee a critical strike. To generate Endurance Charges consistently, the build uses Redflare Conduit with the corrupted mod: “Gain a Power Charge every second if you haven't lost Power Charges recently.” Resonance converts Power Charge gain into Endurance Charge gain instead. Interestingly, this conversion does not count as losing Power Charges, so the condition is never broken. In practice, this means the build generates Endurance Charges automatically every second. Once the crit is guaranteed, the next step is stacking as much critical damage as possible from the passive tree. One interesting class choice here is Infernalist. The Grinning Immolation node gives 50% more Critical Damage Bonus. Since this is a “more” modifier, it multiplies the total critical damage rather than just adding to it, which scales extremely well. Another big damage boost comes from Garukhan’s Resolve. It allows our hits to critical strike twice. The downside is that it reduces your maximum critical strike chance to 50%. However, since Nebuloch guarantees our attacks will crit anyway, that downside effectively doesn’t matter. So the build ends up stacking massive crit damage while bypassing the usual crit chance limitations. I tested it mainly as a boss killer and the damage felt surprisingly strong for a relatively budget setup. PoB: [https://poe.ninja/poe2/pob/1a3f0](https://poe.ninja/poe2/pob/1a3f0) Would love to hear if anyone has ideas to push this interaction even further.
