CoC Comet - Min-Maxing Crit Chance & Crit Damage with Magic Adorned
Have a question for anyone that is running the Temporalis + mana stacker version of CoC Comet BM with a magic Adorned (or something similar) I was hoping to get some clarity on.
On Ninja, I see that most magic Adorned (140%+ effect) trees (with +3 Comet Prism jewel and the Spirit ATD jewel) basically take all jewel slots on the tree, but don't necessarily max out Crit Chance (Adorned jewels skew more Crit Damage and based on messing around with my own tree there's no way to hit 100% with similar setups and similar mana levels). This is assuming you have T1 Crit Chance on both wand / amulet and a good Crit Chance roll on Vertex.
These path along the edge and take the usual Careful Assassin, Throatseeker, Heartbreaking cluster (and all the notables around there to max out the Spirit ATD), and Cooked. Some path to Gem Enthusiast (guessing because they hit another 100 mana breakpoint for Rathpith, Archmage, etc.).
Is the idea that you max out Crit Chance from Mana Remnants overflow and 100% tooltip is not really needed, so it's better to invest in Crit Damage in practice? Mana Remnants seem to be the only other source of non-hideout Crit Chance with these setups (unless I've mistaken the interaction here).
Working my own PoB and in-game toolups (don't have Ninja set up), I seem to get better value out of 1 less magic jewel slot (I have crafted 15/15 Spell Damage/Crit Chance and 15/20 Spell Damage/Crit Damage sets to test) and instead pathing to something such as Controlling Magic (for 45% Crit Chance) + For The Jugular (for 55% Crit Damage + Int). Final setup is ATD, Prism, Adorned, HOTW, and 7 magic jewels. This gets me capped tooltip Chance + ~670% Crit Dmg.
