Why can't I add my golemworks back in the 12 oclock corner?

Context, it got bombed once before. Which was exactly what happened at 3 o clock and I could put back the golemworks at 3 oclock corner. Even the golemworks medallion cannot be placed at the 12 oclock corner.

The garrison and the depot both can be placed at the 12 oclock corner.

I've checked the Sulo planner, it states that it can be placed.

I have tried to restart the game / create new instance. Didn't work.

Help.

Fubgun specifically says this works in his video and it also works on the planner. It does not work in game, they are both wrong. 

You must let your last golem destabilize. In game if both smithies are already connected to golem you cannot add in another.

Dude I had this SAME ISSUE. Simple: you can’t add to a Tier 2+ tile. So you have to revert back to one of the smithy’s being a tier1 basic tile or you can’t do it.

You don’t need to backtrack much. It’s because a golem can only connect to a lvl 1 smithy. Wipe the corner back to the lvl 1 golem before the corner. Place a smithy, then start the golem tech road NOT in the corner.

Armory, alchemy lab, then go OUTWARDS with the second armory (should be next to the spymaster). Then you can place a lvl 1 smithy where you have a lvl 2 smithy currently. This will allow you to put a golem in the corner.

Becomes very lock intensive at this point. Let the armory destabilize (the one next to the spymaster) then continue golem tech. This will be 4 or so rooms constantly connected to each other but the most important part is keeping the corner golem there. Once you place the next golem in the snake you will not be able to place the golem back in that corner and you’ll be stuck in the same situation.

Golem works can only attach to a level 1 smithy.

Past the corner, you built another golem works and upgraded the smithy. Let this die and your smithy will go back down to level 1, then you can place a golem works in the corner and continue.

When chaining these, the golem works is attaching to the front smithy (lvl 1) regardless of the one behind it. Both can't be leveled up.

Made the same corner mistake myself.

You'll have to go back a few rooms. Better now than later, mate. I was confused by Fubgun's video, too.

He explains everything in a very detailed way and also shows the building inside the game, he did it playing and that makes a huge difference with the people that just use the app/web as a planner. You can actually see how it looks like in-game so you know that everything will work as he says once you do it.

Be patient, you eventually get there in a lucky day getting everything you need. Good luck.

This happened to me twice also, now that corner is an armory because I didn’t feel like backtracking again.

If i'm not mistaken you have used the russian tech (or roman road whatever) to chain alternate smithy and golem works, surely you understand that if you have to go through that it's because you can't just chain them naturally right ?

Because the predecessor rooms in the chain are golem works and smithy.

It worked in the 3 o clock position because the predecessor rooms were alch-armory, which allowed you to do what you did at the 12 o clock position there.

Others have pointed out how to fix it though
