Looking to understand recoup a bit more intuitively.
So I understand how recoup works, but for buildcrafting purposes I was hoping someone could help break down the interactions between recoup, armor, and regeneration.
Essentially: If we ignore the fact that life recoup is an ongoing over time effect and just focus on the net resource impact *after* recoup has completed, does that mean that recoup is essentially just another, lower quality/more situational flat % damage resistance?
Additionally, does recoup count damage after armor damage reduction? (This is how I believe it works, but I'm unsure.) This would make sense as it is the damage you are 'taking', and would result in much lower overall values, balance-wise.
TL;DR, Ignoring spiky damage, can recoup be viewed as a lower tier % damage reduction for the purposes of on-paper buildcrafting resource calculations.
