Crafting is confusing, I could really use your help.

Shame it's not magic as it gives you free rarity.

But there are few things you have to understand => very often crafting on a new base is cheaper than fixing bad rng using Omen of Whittling.

So I assume you are not playing infernalist and your defence is based on ES.

Note: Unfortunately on suffixes we are full on the mercy of rng at least for one suffix.

1. Slam one Perfect Exalt with Sinnistral Exaltation
2. Use Sinnistral Crystalization Omen with Perfect Essence of Enhancement to replace that mod with Global Defences
3. Quality up using Defence Catalyst to 20 and slam a Perfect Exalt with Sinnistral Exaltation and Catalysing Exaltation. than slam Perfect Exalt.

Note: In theory your can use Sinistral Crystalization Omen with Essence of Abyss, Perfect Essence of Enhancement and Omen of Light to keep rolling prefixes until you hit Inc Max Es / Flat ES + Global Defences. This is kind of expensive as it would cost +/- 25 divines per attempt (an attempt is a slam of perfect exalt on item with global defences and one free prefix).

4. Once you prefixes are done quality up amulet using most desired elemental resistance type and slam perfect exalt with Dextral Exaltation and Catalysing Exaltation. This most of the time is going to give you some elemental resistance or all elemental resistances. If it does not fixing this using whittling is usually not economically viable.

5. Desecrate for last suffix (preferably with Kurgal Omen so you can fish for quality of skills unless there is some other mod you really need). If you don't find it remove desecration with Omen of Light and Desecrate with Kurgal Omen again. If you need standard mod don't use Kurgal Omen.

Note Prefix craft is simplified there is a small chance that you hit using Perfect Exalt in step 1 Either Flat Es or Max Es Increase (you can improve the ods using Defence Catalyst to 20% and Omen of Catalysing Exaltation). If that's the case you should add one more prefix (you can use quality and catalysing exaltation again) and gamble 50/50 using Sinistral Crystallization and Perfect Essence of Enhancement for it to remove non ES Mod. (if the gamble fails you can try recorvering the item by abyss essence with sinistral crystalization and hoping the mark goes into suffixes).

I don't get crafting either. Lol.

Some interesting advice here. I sell a lot of these bases. Good chance you bought mine. When I craft these, my steps are:

1 - get to 50 fractured spirit, chaos spam for +3 skills of choice.

2 - use catalyst, omen and perfect exalt for a suffix that you are aiming for. This is the most rng part. If I get a useless stat, I annul it off (50/50 with the +3 skills). If it hits the skills, I chaos spam again. If not, step 2 again.

3 - Once I have two suffixes I like, you can suffix desecration.

4 - Any exalt for a prefix.

5 - Use prefix crystal and Global Defenses essence to remove the exalted prefix and add global D.

6 - Catalyst for Defences and omen/perfect exalt for the last defenses stat. If it doesn't hit one you want, prefix annul it off. If you annul the global defenses, just start at step 5. If it annuls the bad prefix, do step 6 again.

7 - Reveal and omen of light/desecration cycle for your last stat.

You can Carapace Catalyst and Omen, hoping for something good, if you miss you can chance it with Omen of Sinsitral Crystalisation and Prefect Essence into Global defense. Then you can try Catacylst and omen again.
If you like a Resistance or Castspeed you can also try that wihy Catalsts.

If you want perfect Stats you need alot of currency to whittle your way to victory.

I'm in the same boat as OP crafting is difficult to understand even with tutorials is there a flowchart or a tool to help with learning crafting?

Theres no "crafiting", theres gamble for what you need.
