Has anyone gotten the Vaal Pact instantaneous life leech passive to work with energy shield leech?

I'm currently doing an Oracle Wyvern Chaos Inoculation built with a lot of investment in Life Leech while using the Essentia Sanguis gloves to convert Life Leech into Energy Shield Leech. I was looking for ways to increase the leech refill rate because it seems to be capped at an unknown threshold and I came across the Vaal Pact passive. It is supposed to cause Life Leech to refill instantly, but it does not seem to be compatible with the Essentia Sanguis gloves' unique life leech converted to ES leech passive based on my testing.

Alternatively, I'm seeing you can cause excess life leech to overflow into ES using the Soul Tether belt. The language describing the effect is different than Essentia Sanguis gloves, so I'm thinking maybe Vaal Pact will work with the Soul Tether belt??

Has anyone done this before or does anyone have more info on how to simply increase the regeneration rate from life leech?

Life leech does work instantly, but energy shield leech isn't life leech. So with the gloves on you'll have have zero life leech, but you'll be leeching zero instantly. And also normal ES leech.

There is a node lower down in the tree that makes some percentage of your leech (all leech, including ES and mana) apply instantly. But it isn't much.
