Basic question about stun or a skill node

I think a good general rule for the passive tree is if it doesnt specifically say it applies to you, assume it modifies your output.

For instance this one says increase stun buildup, other nodes say they modify your stun threshold. From this, it can be deduced that stun buildup = the amount of stun you give to enemies and stun threshold = how exposed to stuns you are.

Don't worry my dumbass thought armour applies to flame or cold or lightning means I get more DMG stacking armor at first 😂

Stun build up good.

Stun build up for enemies you are hitting. For your stun when hit by enemies, it’s called stun threshold.

A monster with 100hp also has 100 stun/elemental threshold.

Meaning to stun this mob you need to deal 100 stun damage to stun.

100% of physical melee damage is stun damage. elemental and ranged are less effective at stunning.

If you have 50% increased stun buildup, you would already stun this mob by only dealing 50 melee physical damage.

something that would actually reduce your own stun threshold would say %reduced stun threshold.

The stats that increase or decrease the stun applied BY entity are "Stun buildup". The stats that increase or decrease the anti-stun defense of the entity are "Stun threshold".
