Re-equip your headhunter, solves it 100% of the time.

There must be something you gain from a rare that makes you "invisible", so those mobs don't trigger. Till they detect you and power up, you can't damage them

I slotted in frostwall with fotress.

Whenever i spot these fuckers i click it on them and boom they wake up

Using a "Tempest Bell" Skill on them also activates them. If you have a spare weapon switch and an open skill slot, you can save your headhunter buffs this way.

I always wondered what it was because I one shot my screen, but these fuckers just sit in corners and survive.

With frost wall + Fortress they die - this also happened to me in abyss pits. The one constant monster modifier I see is proximal tangibility - it is defined as: “creates a protective, greyish barrier around the enemy, rendering it immune to damage from over 3 meters away”.

So I assume this is bugged and the 3 metre distance of damage is not detected against specific player movement or damage modifiers. But if you use an ability like frost wall the game detects it is something that needs to be triggered and can only deal damage within x distance.

This is my only explanation.. so I suppose using any spell that causes re-evaluation of distance (frost wall which only triggers within 3 metres, completely losing buffs like re-equipping headhunter or kiting it long enough is the only solution).

Frostwall usually solves this for me.

As others have said, socket a minimum level frost wall to put it near these enemies to wake them up. Have to put it near them but not on top of them where one of the pieces immediately breaks. Don’t need to unequip/reequip HH and lose all of your buffs

its headhunter when you take "proximal tangibility" mod from a rare, while you have the mod on the "sleeping" mobs arent woken up when you get near them in some rooms, so you cant finish the room for it to open again

Think you need to kill everything in the room.
