My first character that did the quest, i was really impressed that the water level animated and lowered on the map...I have never seen it since on 5+ characters xD

I mean, when the common trial for a witch is to be tossed into a body of water, it’s a skill you need to develop. Doesn’t prove your innocence but at that point they already know they want to kill you so don’t make it easy for them, I guess!

Dont you already know to swim? That's how you got out of the execution anyway.
