Does ggg talk about the freeze/cogwheels thing? Are they working on it?

I am trying to increase from lvl 98 to 99, and during the last 2 days I have 3 deaths because of this. Especially the times where you have to go via "alt/ctrl delete" to get the game back

I am furious, this has enormous consequences when you are working for xp at high levels.

Having this problem after so long time in EA seems just amateurish, is there any focus on this?

Try vulcan. They said that it is some kind of nvidea driver issue a while back.

Dx12 is broken for me aswell.

That's driver clashing, they knew about it and this is their temporary fix to reboot driver in game (black screen and cogwheel) as before it just close the game entirely.

Normally you can hit pause and wait it out it will eventually come back in less than a minute.

For now the other workaround is using vulcan or updating nvidia driver to latest version also help but not entirely.

Btw I haven’t seen this on console except for when servers are super full, does it happen there too?

When the game comes out this bug will be upgraded to feature

If you switch to vulcan, make sure you wipe your shader cache and vice versa. Also, set globlal cache limit to 100GB. (Very unlikely it will use that much) Try lowering sound output to low.

Try setting Shadow+GI Quality to low, and keep trying to wipe your shaded cache after this happens.

I stopped getting this, and it was some combination of those things and increasing shader cache. But they didn't work for a buddy of mine unfortunately, he had to start using vulkan

You're saying your game is unplayable with vulcan, what do you mean by it?

I'm asking because I had the exact same issue, switched to vulcan, it worked absolutely horrendously (huge load times, missing textures, some visual artifacts), I switched back, then read online that the game needs to build up the cache from scratch after switching renderers, switched to vulcan again, powered through an hour or so, it slowly started getting better, and after a day or so it worked perfectly.

Try vulcan again and stick with it for a couple of hours (don't forget to clear the cache).

I went through the whole process switching to vulkan (eh it wasn't amazing, low fps) and increasing my shader cache blah blah all the fixes, what ultimately solved my problem was switching the DLSS from DLAA to Balanced. Never hung up in combat again. YMMV

Had this issue aswell, like other people have said switching to vulcan fixed it and I personally didnt experience any fps loss. Running a 5070ti if that matters

I made a really fun triple ele invoker wolf. Spent the majority of the league with it, farmed thousands of divs doing anything but temple lol
