It depends on if you’re running thunderstorm in CoC or not, or if you’re regularly casting it manually to consistently overgrow your plants. It took me a while to realize that AG 2 has a separate damage number that you only see if you hover over the support gem and those bombs scale damage with the level of your entangle. If your entangle is lvl 30+, the bombs hit like a truck and significantly help with clear speed. Even though they aren’t included in your entangle sheet DPS.
The supports i use in entangle are AG 2, branching fissures 2, considered casting, Uul Netol’s embrace (this does give you the bonus chaos damage idk what you meant by losing it), and Dialla’s. Rakiata is kind of a waste in entangle since most of the damage is physical. I didn’t use rakiata at all until i rolled a blood mage for the CoC comet build. My entangle (i think lvl ~38) sheet dps was around 450k unbuffed (~200-250k per hit) using a wand and dreamer scepter with archmage. It was enough to immediately pop almost all monsters in my fully built 1400% effectiveness temple running solo. Sure, i could’ve squeezed out some more damage with 2 more spell levels on a staff but i didn’t feel like i needed it and the dreamer scepter popping enemies is so satisfying to me.
