Correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding is that you only get atlas passives for completing corruption nexuses if it's at a next tier, per the quest. What happens if you skip a tier? If my quest tells me to complete one at tier 6 and I do one at tier 7, will I still get the passives? And will the quest update to completing one at tier 7 or go straight to tier 8?
It's only odd numbers, i.e. tier 3, 5, 7, 9, 12 and 15. The remaining points come from completing unique maps.
Doesn't matter what tier you do so long as it's the same or higher than the quest asks. You can't skip tiers, so if you went straight to T15s you will still have to do 5 corrupted nexuses to get your points.
And the answer is no, it's not possible to miss out on atlas passives. That would be a massive oversight.
