I'm quite new to the game and have a question about value of stats / crafting / selling

Go through popular builds on poe.ninja and see what stats they prioritize on their items. All of the top builds for specific classes usually look for the same prefixes and suffixes for their gear, so those will be the ones you wanna look for.

I'm also new. I think that knowing what is worth something and what to look out for outside of your first played character just takes experience with other classes and builds.

I have been using this website https://poe2helper.com/ to quickly take a look if an item is worth something.

Honestly i just use the regular market to findout what ppl want and what is popular, i add the name of the item in the search bar, and in the trade filter the price, usually between 40 and 300 divs and search for it. than i look for what kind of mods are the most sought after and what tier they are (you can pin your item on screen if u hold alt and hover to the top right corner and press the small pin)

than i just compare mine to the high priced ones in the hideout of the seller and find out what dead mod(s) i am Using and what might be much better.

Worked fine for me this way and i made sales that ranged from 15 divs up to 2 mirror (for a chest piece)

Hello friend, I’ve had the shame issue when I was starting the game so I’ll try to help:

• Poe.ninja it’s your best friend for this. Log in, filter by Stormweaver and check the top builds the stats they prioritize, that can give you an idea even tho at first you don’t fully understand the why

• Give yourself time to understand the game, this is a very “complex” and deep ARPG, some stuff takes time the “oh right” moment, for example damage calculations, crit vs crit damage, elemental penetration, etc etc… keep on playing and certain stuff will became easier with time.

• Rule of thumb- ISH: for about 90% of the builds on your defensive gear you are looking for energy shield mods > Armour or evasion. If you’re playing storm weaver you need to stack ES on your gear and ignore arm/evasion. For example on your chest piece you’re looking for: %increase ES - Max ES - To Spirit - and then resistances. It’s ver strait forward.

• crafting can get VERY expensive once you try to get perfect mods on an item and most people specialize in certain crafts. For example I’ve made my currency this league just crafting Wands and wands alone, find your craft and try to stick with it and get better, very hard at the beginning that you’re gonna learn hoy to craft rings / amulets / wands / shields and boost. Just stick with one, understand the weights of mods, and get profit by crafting the same item over and over bc in this game consistency it’s key to making currency.

The only way to turn a tier 4 item, this late into the league, into a multiple div item would be to remove all the tier 4 mods and get tier 2 or 1 mods. That would cost more than it's really worth. This late in the league only the best items are selling. Everyone is rich and the market is inflated.

Some stats are prefix and some are suffix... learning what is what will help you know what you're crafting especially using well of souls
