Shapeshift damage is from your talisman which is your weapon if you are going to use shapeshift. I’d just pick one thing and stick with it, while it seemed ggg wanted to mix spells and attacks with druid it is still as usual best to specialise in attacks or spells.

I went with bear it’s a lot of fun, pretty tanky, nice damage and it’s a big ass bear. Fury of the king is a cheap unique that will get things moving fast. Jump around and drop firestorms on your foes.

Werewolf supposedly has big damage as does wyvern, wyvern may struggle a little with aoe. Then there’s the shaman ascendancy with gauranteed crits which could be an amazing caster or shifter as well.

If you are shapeshifting you’ll basically always be that form so dodging should be fine. Only time I’d unshift would be maybe in sekhemas to avoid traps a little easier.

Yes, I'm a new player and I wanted to make a druid spellcaster without abandoning my forms. It didn't turn out as expected, unfortunately... But then I decided to focus on the forms, and left the human druid as a sideline

During leveling and into end game, I think the big three Druid options are Slam Bear Shaman, (Ice?) Wolf Oracle, or Plant Oracle (the reason I put "Ice?" is because I can't remember if Wolf builds use Ice while leveling, or just at end game).

Slam Bear and Wolf are, as you might have guessed, pretty heavily transformation focused, whereas Plant is more of a ranged caster, though it still feels very druidic to me because it revolves around creating plants to attack your enemies, and then summoning thunderstorms to empower those plants.

Any of those three builds can take you well into end game, and once you've progressed to pinnacle content it kind of becomes a matter of how far you want to take things.

The undisputed king of end game this season is Cast on Critical Comet builds, and the Oracle Druid Ascendancy is one of the two preferred classes for those builds (along with Blood Mage) but gear for those builds is really, really expensive. There are also end game versions of Slam Bear and Ice Wolf if you want to keep going down that path, and there are also Cast on Critical Entangle/
