Druid under powered

Hey guys I've stopped playing POE2 for a bit but I have a Druid in the second act that feels very under powered I don't know what I did wrong but I don't do enough damage and it feels like a glass pea shooter. When I encountered the green fissures in the second act I just said fuck it and made a different class. All my classes are pretty good except my druid plz help I don't want to go on mobalytics because that's all builds for people who have finished the story campaign or are way past the early levels. This has drove me back to D4 which I am enjoying but the challenge isn't there and no sprinting, no dodging and skills don't combo much or aren't as impressive when they do combo so please I need help.😥

Like mentioned below, you need to use a leveling guide. Plenty of OP druid builds out there. Also, when asking this type of question you need to post your build so people can actually give feedback on the specifics.

Druid is probably the most overpowered class in the game just have a look at some guides.

Edit: one of the most powerful..

The weapon is very important for damage.

What is your main skill? If it’s an attack then look for flat damage (eg. adds 10-20 fire damage) and put runes with flat damage in it. If spells then your staff/wand wants level to skill.

99% of the time, when a weapon class does shit damage while leveling, the weapon is the cause. Go buy a high damage weapon for peanuts in the trade house, you can find level 15-20 weapons with nearly 100 dps for 1 ex or less.

I found Briarpatch (the spirit gem, not the unique) crazy for going through the campaign. Make sure you have a staff for your alternate weapon if you cast spells.

And mark the spells for the 2nd weapon only... hidden in the UI for each skill, in the expanded view. (Oh wait, if you have primal skills main weapon, you won't need to do this.)

Maxroll.gg has leveling builds. You should take a look there.

What kind of druid are you playing? shapeshifter? gardener/plants (entangle)? Wyvern/Wolf/Bear? Need more information.

It really shouldn't be. If you play plants, do you have the one big plant damage buffing node somewhere along the travel nodes northwest from the class start?

There's something going wrong for one reason or another in any case.
