In the 90's I drove a 2-tone black and blue 1971 Super Beetle. It had custom fat fenders, teardrop lights, custom plush interior, and 2 antennas on independent motors so I could raise and lower them to "wink" at the lady folk. It had a bangin' sound system and an upgraded VW 1600cc dual carb engine. The thing was a death trap and I loved it. I was right around 18-19 years old.
