The only interaction I ever want from a celebrity in public is a male head nod from Samuel L Jackson. Like you make eye contact do the head nod and move on. It acknowledges ones presence but respects ones privacy. 

No follow up no photos nothing. now if I was at like a fan event or a situation where getting a photo or autograph was acceptable sure. But otherwise celebrities going about their private lives in public areas are off the clock. And I hate having to do work after hours. 

My parents took us kids to Universal Studios in the early 1970's and my dad surprised us by getting in for lunch at the commissary or whatever it was called. He said that movie stars often visited to their adoring fans and maybe we'd see on or 2.

Well sure enough we're all sitting there being really good kids and Charten Heston walks in and sits at the table next to us visiting with some folks. We just sat there and couldn't help but stare at him. We didn't even ask for an autograph and he leers over at us, slams a hand on his table and gets up angrily and leaves.

Everyone in that place just looked at us like we were talking apes or something.

True story. Movie stars suck.
