Need help reporting an Instagram account impersonating a business

I’m looking for some advice and support.

There’s an Instagram account pretending to be a business and using the name/identity in a way that could confuse people and harm reputation. Has anyone here dealt with this before? If so, what’s the best way to get Instagram to actually take action?

Also, if you’ve been through something similar, I’d really appreciate any tips on what kind of evidence helps the most when reporting impersonation.

unpopular opinion but instagram's native reporting is almost useless for impersonation unless you're a verified brand. even with solid evidence they'll sit on it for weeks. the faster path is usualy going through a takedown service, Doppel or similar, since they have direct escalation channels with platforms.

DIY route works but expect to follow up multiple times.
