Can someone actually sue you over an Instagram page they don’t run anymore, but once founded
There’s a person who originally started a baseball media page 11 years ago, grew it inorganically to 60k followers, but hasn’t run it in years is now claiming ownership and threatening legal action after others grew and monetized it.
No written agreement. Does he actually have a case or is this just intimidation
Some details:
- started it in 2014, quit in 2017
- we have screenshots of him selling the account to someone, while also quitting
- hasn’t contributed or managed the page since 2017, but claims to be a co-owner as he still has access to the page and claims he always saw the page has his asset.
