idk if it’s just me but writing captions takes me way longer than it should

like I’ll have the idea in my head but actually turning it into something that sounds decent… takes forever

tried batching, tried just posting on the fly, both kinda work but also not really

lately been messing around with a few tools (notion + stuff like runable) just to speed up the first draft part so I’m not staring at a blank screen for 20 mins

still feels like overkill for something that should be simple though

Yeah, captions usually take longer than the content itself. I started using a simple structure - hook, one idea, quick CTA - and it sped things up a lot. Overthinking the wording is what slows it down. Do you try writing rough drafts first or aiming for perfect in one go?

Summarizing anything in a catchy way as quickly as possible isn't easy. Attention spans are shorter than ever.

I find that there's few replacements for repetition. Sometimes, I'll make several options that I can cycle though in an effort to avoid using cliches. I feel like there has to be something to grab the attention as quickly as possible.

I just put any possible option on the screen and pick the best ones. Sometimes "bad ideas" lead to good ones.

Of course, the best captions in the world mean nothing if the accompanying visual is garbage. Bad caption/title and a boring thumbnail? Pass!
