He was a librarian in his past life
Literate pussy is the best pussy.
This is so sweet what a good kitty
I'm assuming this won't be appreciated but I am not a fan of outside cats. It should be illegal to let you cat roam outside.
I read a story about how a single cat wiped out an entire species of bird on an island and since then I've been very strongly against it.
Here is the jest of the story.
Tibbles the cat killed a rare species of birds to extinction. A cat named Tibbles is often credited with single-handedly causing the extinction of the Stephens Island wren (Traversia lyalli) in New Zealand around 1894–1895.
Tibbles was an asshole.
Why did “Good for all his 9 lives” make me tear up? 😭
May they be long and maybe they be full of library joy!

I love cats but I will never understand people's trust in complete strangers not abusing their pets.
Setting aside the environmental impacts of pet cats allowed to freely roam, it makes me wonder if these owners actually care for their pets as much as they think.
On at least 4 occasions I know of friends or family members pets having their jaw broken by strangers or other cats and on at least 2 occasions in 2 different areas someone was snatching pet cats to abuse and kill them. Idk, maybe I'm just a cynic but I can't see the relationship between loving your cat and letting it free roam, exposing it to so many dangers.
I guess they'd rather have a cat in the library than kids with allergies. Little Susie has to choose between an asthma attack and her book report.
How is Muffin going to get to the library without going outside? Build a giant hamster-cat tube from the home to the library? Can the city even afford to fill their potholes? HES JUST GOING TO THE LIBRARY LET HIM LEARN AND SOCIALIZE.
