Bro is fed alright
I wish Reddit never enabled account monetization because every single sub I’ve seen the past week is just flooded with the worst low effort shit you’ve seen. I’ve seen memes from pre-covid being spammed along with shit like this.
The problem is there is a haka video for fucking everything now. Birthdays, funerals, half time, politics, graduations, you get the front parking spot-haka, find an extra burger in your take out-haka, sleep straight til your alarm without that 10-minute before alarm wake up-haka.
Honestly it's amazing how Haka spread from such a small group and is so well known meme wise.
Perfect example of something that is "culture" but is cringe and off-putting in most contexts lol
Most people who find the Haka off-putting are OK with something like the pledge of allegiance, a national anthem, or a prayer to start an event.
If you sit long enough you'll realize the problem isn't the haka...
Weird fucking comment section
Kinda cringe and over used for average ass situations
As a teen I was part of an American rugby team that toured across New Zealand. Every place we stopped our team was enthusiastically treated to a traditional Haka. It got to be pretty tiring to watch. Especially since our team also got annihilated everywhere we went.
This was cool to see at one point.
Ever since i saw the one they did protesting rights for LGBTQ people I realized its just a way to be an asshole to other people and claim its culture
