Absolutely. Honestly even domestically Trump is a return to form for the US rather than an aberration. There is always a difference between how a nation sees itself and what it actually is, with the US the contradiction appears more stark because of how loud they are on just how ~different~ they are. They are the best at everything in their mind and then you read history and its like...well...not really bro.

Honestly, Trump may even be the better alternative to a more sane Republican President.

Republicans have spent decades building up judicial power and disenfranchising voters in swing states. They've taken total control over SCOTUS and redefined the constitution in their own terms.

Had a more subtle and savvy man ended up at the reigns of this power, they may have been much more poular. Trump is a breaking a lot of shit (and killing a lot of people along the way), but hes drawing a lot of attention. No one would have believed even 1/10th of this shit was possible before Trump inadvertently shone a light on it.

I don't know if America can save the constitution, democracy, and the rule of law, but I think they have an opportunity to, as now evewryone can see that America is dreadfully unprepared for the attacks of the 21st century.

Half the stuff Trump is doing is not his plan simply because he's not smart enough to have coordinated such an elaborate scheme, it's Project 2025 and the people behind the Heritage foundation who have experience in this and have helped prop up other Leaders

I grew up in the redneck ass South so Trump's presidency wasn't surprising to me. The only thing I'm thankful for with Trump is how mask off he is. Now we all know the people at the top are ghouls. My pessimism also tells me that Trump has shown that Americans don't actually have any values. Money and murder is what America understands.
