Are we overvaluing reach and undervaluing intent in social media?
Lately I’ve been questioning how we measure success on social.
A lot of campaigns still focus heavily on reach and impressions, but I’m seeing cases where high reach doesn’t translate into any meaningful business outcome.
On the flip side, smaller posts with lower reach sometimes drive better conversations, clicks, or actual leads.
Feels like the gap between visibility and intent is getting bigger.
Curious how others are thinking about this - are you still optimizing for reach, or shifting toward deeper engagement and intent-based metrics?
