I think social media quietly makes people feel worse than they realize
I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately.
Not because social media is “bad” in some simple way, but because it creates this constant low-level feeling that everyone else is ahead.
Ahead in money.
Ahead in looks.
Ahead in healing.
Ahead in life.
And even when you know people only post the polished version, it still does something to your mind over time.
You start measuring your normal life against everyone else’s highlight reel.
That’s probably why the title The Invisible Comparison Prison www.wehealify.com
hit me when someone recommended it. It’s such an accurate way to describe what comparison feels like. Not obvious enough to panic you, but strong enough to trap your thinking.
I’ve been a lot more aware of how much comparison changes your mood without you even noticing.
Have any of you actually reduced comparison in a practical way?
