Instagram Account Verification Deadlock

Hi everyone! I’m looking for advice or similar experiences because we’re dealing with a complicated situation with our Instagram accounts.

Recently, our personal accounts were shut down for safety reasons, most likely after someone attempted to hack them. The system then requested identity verification with an ID for all accounts that were linked within the same app.

The issue is that we also have an account used for a project run by an NGO / association (essentially a project brand). This account was created during the pandemic, and at that time no ID or formal verification was required. It was not linked to any personal account, and there are no official documents under the exact name of that brand, because it is simply a project belonging to the association.

Now we are stuck in a kind of deadlock:

- we cannot verify the account using a personal ID, because the account is not tied to a specific individual

- we cannot provide documents for the association that match the project name exactly, since the project is not a separate legal entity

- the account is currently locked, and we have no access to it

Has anyone faced a similar situation with Instagram / Meta account verification?

What kind of documents were accepted, or what steps helped you recover access?
