Marketing Utility vs. Platform Dependency
I have been analyzing the shift from creative-driven marketing to what I call infrastructure-driven growth. We are currently seeing a massive drop in ROAS globally, and it is not just about the creative content anymore. It is about who owns the data.
Most marketers are stuck in a cycle of platform dependency. If the cloud provider or the social algorithm changes the rules, the entire business model breaks.
I believe the real edge right now is moving toward local-first systems. This means owning your tracking nodes and your data assets so you do not have to pay a constant "tech tax" to external SaaS providers.
The goal should be utility over hype. If your infrastructure is sovereign, your attribution is bulletproof and your costs are fixed.
I am curious to hear from others in digital marketing. Are you focusing on building your own internal assets, or are you still relying 100% on third-party cloud tools to manage your data?
