why is there no "live mode" for social media?? (startup idea maybe?)
i had this idea because im honestly tired of how the algorithms work. like whenever i open reddit or twitter it just shows me "hot" posts from hours ago, but if i try to sort by "new" its not actually that new to the point where when you comment you'll get an instant response (i think).
im thinking of making an extension or an app that basically gives u a filtered "live feed" from all your chat-based socials at once. basically u pick your interests like "GTA VI" or "agentic ai" or whatever, and it pulls in the real time posts from reddit/facebook/twitter/instagram etc as they are happening.
but the main thing is it uses ai to filter out the junk. so instead of seeing every single post, it only shows u the actual interesting ones in a single feed the second they are posted. that way u can actually have a real time discussion with people before the post gets buried or 5 hours old.
basically like a "command center" for the topics u care about so u dont have to keep jumping between apps and refreshing like a maniac lol. its not meant for all social media apps (tiktok or youtube, for examp) but it would be like another cool way to use your existing chat-based apps effectively.
idk if people actually want ANOTHER way to look at social media but i feel like it would be cooler if you could actually get a response it real time no? im not saying that not-new social media is boring, im not trying to replace that, but... would u guys actually use a filtered live feed like this or nah?
