Just so everyone knows, Reddit and OpenAl have formed a partnership to facilitate data sharing. That is fact and you can look it up. Reddit's data will be utilized to train OpenAl's GPT models. In exchange, I believe Reddit has increased the number of bots that react aggressively to genuine Redditor posts, commenting with phrases like "You're wrong; Bad take; Are you dumb;" and so on. I do think Reddit will be acquired soon, but in the meantime, we should consider the following: "Where else do people express their thoughts without an algorithm dividing them based on their interests or political affiliations?" Reddit will likely face further restrictions, and people may turn to LLMs for validation.

If bots with usernames with alphabet/word soup and a few random numbers comment that im wrong and should take off my tinfoil hat, congratulations you're proving my point.

There's a reason r/Lemmy is banned from Reddit. Freedom of expression is being curtailed.

Reddit has been bot central for a long time. It’s hard to spot legitimate users, but they do exist.

I’m hoping the partnership will help Reddit cut down on AI posts but I’m also not living in a fantasy world so I know it’s simply a data harvest for money deal.

The data partnership part is real, platforms have been licensing data for training, but that doesn’t automatically mean Reddit is flooding threads with bots to argue with people. What has changed is moderation, ranking, and how content gets surfaced, which can make conversations feel more hostile or repetitive. A lot of what looks like bots is just low effort or reactive users. If you’re looking for better discussion, I’ve had more luck in smaller, niche communities or private groups where there’s some shared context. Big public forums tend to drift this way over time.

Hey all, I own a business that involves many clients that promote their product, art or website with TikTok (also Instagram, Youtube and Facebook). I want to offer them a way to post their content, or to get content created and posted for them on existing TikTok pages. Basically you got pages in a specific theme (sport, anime, cinema, culture, memes...) and you rent it for a specific period of time. You get paid every month, and all you have to do is basically connecting the account once to our system. You can opt-out anytime you want, you keep the full ownership of the account. That's basically a way to monetize your pages passively.
