Whoever arranged this is human and hasn’t let their job ruin them

Looks like he got a 2nd visit with his dad before dad passed away.

In jail for drug offences and in a low security facility for non violent offenders. Hopefully he's been able to sort himself out and will be able to live a life that would make his dad proud.

Do you think they were allowing it more for the sake of the son or for the sake of his dying father? Either way, what a horrible note to end on.

Idk the guys circumstances but this is rehabilitation. This is how prisoners should be treated. With humanity and dignity. Maybe then, we can actually do what the prison system was originally intended for and actually rehabilitation these people to have a constructive life on the outside.

I organised for a patient’s son to visit her from prison once. Took about 36 hours from her first telling us she had a son who couldn’t visit because he was in prison (but that she desperately wanted to see) to him being on the ward. She passed away around 48 hours later but was able to sit up and have a conversation with him when he visited.

Incredibly sad situation. Can't believe some asshole wrote "if you can't do the time, don't do the crime".

Most people in prison are there for not being able to pay their bills (at least here in Germany).
