Tbh as a Canadian I don't understand how Americans can even have babies. It seems like, impossible. I mean shit they are already so expensive and you're already in debt 7k on day 1 (which I understand to be a cheaper price than normal). How do you survive? Do you just ignore the debt? Aren't there massive repercussions? I know I sure as shit couldn't afford that and I have a pretty good job. Are only wealthy people having kids? That seems extremely unsustainable.

When I had my first kid the nurses urged us to do skin to skin contact with our new born. I didn't know what that was at the time and was informed that the baby will placed on mom's chest just so baby can feel mom. Dad's are encouraged to do so as well but not mandatory. Just make sure to remove the shirt prior to doing so. So we did. Was pretty quick, maybe 10ish minutes each.

Got out of the hospital and went home. Few days later, got the bill with an itemized list of what we're the charges. One of them was "skin to skin contact $100" as a routine procedure.

Fortunately, given the circumstances and not saying it should be this way, insurance covered everything and we only had to do a $100, copay. But still, being charged to HOLD YOUR OWN BABY!!! It's just insane.

They get louder. You think a 1 month old is loud? Wait.

Also, some states will allow you to write off all of that delivery debt if you make a certain amount of money (or less).

Now have the mother review the unboxing of the “product”. Dad did a review after unboxing. We need a reviewing of the unboxing process. And the pains of the unboxing process.
